One of the main roles of the PNGA is to recognize the achievements of the region’s golfers and the dedication of the golf community’s volunteers.
The PNGA has a long and rich past and are the caretakers of Northwest golf history. The PNGA administers the Pacific Northwest Golf Hall of Fame, which recognizes the game’s brightest stars from the region who have excelled at the highest level of golf competition, as well as annually recognizing Players of the Year for their achievements from the past year.
The lifeblood of the PNGA is the volunteerism that encompasses every aspect of the organization. The PNGA is encompassed by remarkable people that volunteer selfless and numerous hours to the game because they care so deeply about its well-being. The Distinguished Service Award is considered the Association’s highest honor, as it recognizes some of the selfless volunteers who have donated their time and treasure simply for the betterment of golf.
These achievements of amateur golfers in the Northwest along with the dedication of volunteers represent the traditions and values of the game of golf. As guardians of the game, the PNGA will always continue to recognize achievements that foster and promote the game of golf.
