Holly Horwood inducted into Golf Hall of Fame of BC, celebrates with other PNGA champions

At the 2017 Golf Hall of Fame of British Columbia induction ceremony, held at Point Grey G&CC in Vancouver on October 18, Holly Horwood of Vancouver, B.C. was inducted as the newest member of the Hall. Among her many playing accomplishments, Holly finished runner-up in the 1969 PNGA Junior Girls’ Amateur, won the 2012 PNGA Senior Women’s Amateur, and in early October won the 2017 PNGA Super Senior Women’s Amateur.

On hand to help celebrate the evening were other past PNGA champions. Left to right in the photo are Sandra Turbide of Maple Ridge, B.C. (2010 and 2011 PNGA Women’s Mid-Amateur champion); Holly; Jackie Little of Port Alberni, B.C. (2008 and 2009 PNGA Senior Women’s Amateur champion, two-time PNGA Senior Women’s Player of the Year, and 2017 inductee into the Pacific Northwest Golf Hall of Fame); and Kathryn McGarvey of North Vancouver, B.C. (2016 PNGA Women’s Senior Team champion, with partner Little).
