Callaway’s New JAWS Full Toe Wedge Is The Ultimate Spin Machine
The new JAWS Full Toe Wedge from Callaway is designed to give you control on all types of wedge shots, from chips, pitches, flops, bunker shots, to full shots into the green. Four distinct technologies are combined to make it an absolute spin machine, starting with Callaway’s JAWS grooves, the most aggressive grooves in golf.
These JAWS grooves are extended across the face to provide spin anywhere you make contact. To increase surface roughness off the clubface, offset groove-in-groove technology has been paired with a raw face, a first for Callaway. These both enable spin and control to help you approach any shot with confidence. Like the PM Grind, JAWS Full Toe has grooves across the face, but differs with a few upgrades including less offset, and enhanced versatility on full shots due to the straighter leading edge and refined toe peak.
Beyond spin, Jaws Full Toe offers unmatched greenside versatility. The full toe shape provides increased face area for additional shot options around the green, and a specialized C-Grind makes bunker shots and high flops easier. These benefits have already been seen by some of the best in the world. Chief designer Roger Cleveland was on site at the tour’s Rocket Mortgage tournament in July to show Callaway’s PGA tour staff the new JAWS Wedge.
The JAWS toe pad pushes the center of gravity higher, for a design that creates a more controlled trajectory. The new Variable Weight Port System also helps to move that center of gravity away from the heel, boosting solid contact and enhancing the feel on impact. Most importantly, JAWS Full Toe wedges are built to perform on mid and full shots, allowing for great turf interaction through the ball so you can stick it close.
JAWS Full Toe comes standard with Lamkin UTX grip, True Temper’s newest Dynamic Gold Spinner shaft in steel, or a Project X Catalyst wedge shaft in graphite. It’s available in two finishes: Raw Face Chrome and Raw Black, with lofts ranging from 54° to 64°. To find out which Callaway wedges are right for your game, try the Wedge Selector Tool.
