Past PNGA competitor Berg places second at PGA Asst Championship

PGA Assistant Professional Derek Berg of Sahalee Country Club finished a solo second in the 41st Assistant PGA Professional Championship.

The Championship was hosted by PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie, Fla. for the 21st consecutive year.

Berg finished runner-up at the 2009 PNGA Men’s Mid-Amateur Championship and was named the 2009 Washington State Golf Association Men’s Player of the year.
