Three Northwest Players Competing at U.S. Women’s Amateur

Three players from the Pacific Northwest – Ellie Slama of Salem, Ore., Kennedy Swann of McKenzie Bridge, Ore. and Therese Warner of Kennewick, Wash. – are competing in the U.S. Women’s Amateur Championship this week at Woodmont Country Club in Rockville, Md.

This is the second appearance in the U.S. Women’s Amateur for Slama. She is the reigning PNGA Women’s Player of the Year and was previously named the PNGA Junior Girls’ Player of the Year in 2015 and 2016.

Therese Warner is making her second appearance in the U.S. Women’s Amateur, having advanced to the Round of 32 in last year’s championship.

This is the first appearance in the championship for Kennedy Swann.
