b'GOLF WASHINGTONWWCPGA Professionals make it happen for the good of golfS ince 2021, the Western Washington Chapter PGA Golf Professionals have coordinated efforts in raising over $80 million through various avenues such as golf tournaments, 100-hole marathons, donated rounds of golf, donated lessons, and donated merchandise.One PGA Professional, Chas Holmes, jogged and walked 100 holes of golf at his home club of Bear Creek Country Club in Woodinville, Wash. This feat was accomplished in 12 hours with a total distance jogged/walked of 31 miles. The fastest 18 holes were played in 95 minutes with a score of 76 from 6,560 yards. This fundraiser raised nearly $5,000 for blood cancer research. Many more similar stories exist throughout the Pacific Northwest Section PGA in an effort to serve the golf community and grow the game we all love.Another local PGA Golf Professional, Director of Golf Mark Rashell and his team atFinishing up 100 holes during last Newcastle Golf Club, facilitated $16.1 million in charitable contributions by hosting over 50years marathon at Bear Creek CC. golf outings in 2024.
