And now there is the Bear Claw. At Bear Mountain Ranch in Chelan, Wash., holes 14-18 are similar in layout to a bears paw, and includes two par 5s, two par 4s, and a par 3. Any golfer whose gross score for the five holes is par or better receives a drink coupon for a Bear Claw Pilsner (or beverage of choice) and an inscribed bag tag. With the Bear Claw sign on the 14th tee at Bear Mountain Ranch are (left to right) Jack Powers, Tom Michajla, and Ron Housh. Michajla is the general manager at the course who came up with the Bear Claw concept, and Powers and Housh are starters/marshals.SEPT 2025|PACIFIC NORTHWEST GOLFER11'
