The lifeblood of the Pacific Northwest Golf Association is the volunteerism that encompasses every aspect of the organization. The PNGA is made up of remarkable people who volunteer numerous hours to the game because they care so deeply about its well-being and its future. On a biennial basis, a committee comprised of PNGA Past Presidents reviews nominees made by the golfing public and then selects recipients of that year’s PNGA Distinguished Service Award, in recognition of meritorious service to amateur golf, not necessarily as a competitive player. This prestigious award is considered the Association’s highest honor, as it recognizes those volunteers who have given so much of themselves for the betterment of the game and to the golf community throughout the Pacific Northwest.
