Cali Hipp Signs With University of Oregon

Cali Hipp from Caldwell, ID was the PNGA Junior Girls’ Runner-Up and just signed with the University of Oregon today, November 10. Cali is the #27 ranked Junior Girl by Golfweek.

Golf Highlights and Awards:
Cali began playing in the Idaho Golf Association Juniors in 2006 at the age of 12. She has won her age division every year through 2009. In addition to that she has accomplished the following:

2008

– Finished 6th Individually at 4A state tournament and helped her team to a 3rd place finish as a freshman

– Idaho Women’s State Amateur Champion (youngest winner at age 15)

– Finished 53rd at the Big “I” Classic, Country Club of NC, Pinehurst, NC

– Finished 29th at the Girl’s Junior Americas Cup, Willow Pk. CC, Alberta, Canada

– 1st place 15 Yr. Girls, Idaho State Junior Championship, Rupert CC, Rupert, ID

– Finished 2nd at Idaho Tournament of Champions (low round of 70 at Sun Valley GC, Sun Valley, ID)

 

2009

– Finished 3rd as an individual, led her team to a 1st place finish at the 4A state tournament as a sophomore

– Medalist IGA Women’s Match Play Inv. (71 at The Valley Club, Hailey, ID) Quarter-finalist

– Shot 68(a junior course record at Banbury Golf Club, Eagle, Idaho) in Qualification for Junior World

– T 77th at Callaway Junior World Championship, Torrey Pines, La Jolla, CA

– T39th at PGA Jr. Championship, TPC Rivers Bend Course, Maineville, OH

– T 85th at USGA Girl’s Junior Championship, Trump Natl., Bedminster, NJ

– Qualified for Big “I” Classic (Conflict With PGA)

– Qualified for USGA Women’s State Team (unable to attend)

– Top points leader in qualifying for Idaho’s Junior Americas Cup Team (Conflict with PGA)

– 1st place 16-18 Div. Girls Idaho State Junior Championship (fifth consecutive year)

– Quarter-Finalist in PNGA Girls’ Junior Amateur

 

2010

– Finished 1st individually and helped her team to a 2nd place finish at the 4A state tournament as a junior

– IGA Women’s Match Play Inv. Semifinalist

– 1st place at the Dropping Invitational, Hillcrest CC, Boise, ID

– Finished 47th at the Callaway Junior World Championships, Torrey Pines, La Jolla, CA

– Advanced to the Round of 16 at the USGA Girl’s Jr. Am Championship, Country Club of NC, Pinehurst, NC

– 4th place finish at the Big I Championship, Old York CC, Chesterfield, NJ

– Finished 35th at the Junior PGA Championship

– Runner-up Championship Flight PNGA Girl’s Jr. Amateur, Spurwing CC, Meridian, ID

(The last five events were played in 5 consecutive weeks)

– Honors/Activities: National Honor Society Member, Sophomore Class President, and Junior Class President

– Cali has verbally committed to play golf for the University of Oregon in the fall of 2011
