Gangi and Harper, and Chow and Johnson share Senior Team lead and Douthit and Ellis lead the Super Senior Team
Teri Gangi (Poulsbo, Wash.) and Lisa Harper (Bainbridge, Wash.) share the lead with Di Chow (Redmond, Wash.) and Karen Johnson (Auburn, Wash.) after the first round of the PNGA Women’s Senior Team Championship held at Gold Mountain Golf Club. Both teams fired a first round score of even-par 72 to gain a one-shot lead over Kathryn McGarvey (North Vancouver, BC) and Elaine Blatchford (Surrey, BC).
Last year’s Women’s Super Senior champion Sun Douthit (Steilacoom, Wash) and new partner Joanna Ellis (Lakewood, Wash.) have a one shot lead over Mary Sias (Portland, Ore.) and Jackie Nelson (Beaverton, Ore.) with a first round score of 78. Douthit is on her way to winning her fourth consecutive title in this championship.
The first round of both Championships were played at the Cascade Course at Gold Mountain Golf Club in Bremerton, Wash.
