Gangi and Harper take Senior Women’s Team title while Sias and Nelson win Super Senior Women’s Team title
Teri Gangi (Poulsbo, Wash.) and Lisa Harper (Bainbridge, Wash.) win the Pacific NW Senior Women’s Team Championship, held at Gold Mountain Golf Club, after surviving a three hole playoff against runner-ups Ginny Burkey (Eugene, Ore.) and Leilani Norman (Eugene, Ore.). Both teams fired final round scores of 74 to get into the playoff.
Lisa Harper sunk a 20 foot birdie putt to win the championship on the third playoff hole.
When discussing their amazing round yesterday Gangi and Harper said, “we just tried to keep it together with the delays and kept our heads on and pushed through.”

Mary Sias (Portland, Ore.) and Jackie Nelson (Beaverton, Ore.) shot a final round score of 77 to get the win the Pacific NW Super Senior Women’s Team Championship by five strokes over last year’s winner Sun Douthit (Steilacoom, Wash.) and her new partner Joanna Ellis (Lakewood, Wash.). Sias and Nelson came from behind during yesterday’s round to get a hold of the lead and then held onto it until the very end.
Sias and Nelson on how they were able to get the win, “it was very difficult but we kept fighting and had some lucky shots and tried not to get too greedy.”
