Legendary Pacific Northwest Golf

Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club has the best team to deliver year-over-year championship playing conditions. Led by Director of Agronomy Eric Feldhusen, winner of the 2021 Oregon Golf Course Superintendents Association of America “Superintendent of the Year,” Pumpkin Ridge’s two courses – the public Ghost Creek, and the private Witch Hollow – have become legendary for their quality.

“Our events at Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club were always remarkable,” said Alex Baldwin, president of the Korn Ferry Tour. “We received consistent positive player feedback about the quality of the course, and in particular, the immaculate conditions of the greens.”

Built to host major events, Pumpkin Ridge set its sights high from the beginning and remains one of the purest golf experiences in the Pacific Northwest. It is what we think of when we think of the game of golf. Designed by Robert Cupp, the complex is carved over and through fertile farmlands in the rolling foothills of the Tualatin Mountains, and to this day you will see few homes lining the fairways of its 36 holes. It is simply golf and occasional wildlife.

Ghost Creek has been recognized by Golfweek as the only “Top 100 Best Courses You Can Play in the U.S.” in Portland, and has been named to numerous awards over the past 29 years from Golf DigestGolf MagazineSports IllustratedGolf for Women and The Business Journal.

Ghost Creek has its own championship history. Host of the 1993 and 1994 Nike Tour Championships, Ghost Creek challenged the best of the tour, with David Duval and Mike Schuchart winning in each of those years.

In 1996, Tiger Woods earned medalist honors in the U.S. Amateur qualifying round. As everyone knows, Tiger went on to win his third consecutive national title, defeating Steve Scott on the 38th hole on the Witch Hollow course.

Pumpkin Ridge helped local charities raise over $6.5 million with their golf tournaments. The club offers attractively priced packages for fundraising events of all sizes and types, ranging from large-scale charity golf tournaments and receptions. Pumpkin Ridge’s experience hosting major golf tournaments and outings makes the facility uniquely qualified to make your next golf event an unqualified success. Contact Christina Dalton, director of sales, at 803.647.2527 for all your tournament and event opportunities.

Despite Pumpkin Ridge’s acclaim for hosting major golf championships, you don’t have to have a tour card or compete in national championships to enjoy this pair of must-play golf gems. Both courses offer multiple tees on each hole to provide golfers of all skill levels with an enjoyable challenge, allowing golfers of varying abilities to enjoy the experience together.

Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club offers a vast array of playing opportunities, whether that be an individual round, local loyalty program Pumpkin Pass, Ghost Creek Membership or Private Club Membership at Witch Hollow. Pumpkin Ridge offers a sense of community, camaraderie and belonging – with outstanding privileges and amenities just as important as the intangible benefits that come with private club membership.
