McCaslin and Carter Cruise to Early Lead in the Men’s Mid-Amateur Championship

Jon McCaslin (Olympia, WA) and Maxwell Carter (Woodinville, WA) started off the championship with hot rounds of 68 to get the early lead in the first round of the PNGA Men’s Mid-Amateur Championship. The rain over the weekend and beautiful weather made for great scoring conditions with 11 players finishing the day under par. 2018 PNGA Senior Men’s Player of the Year Tom Brandes of Bellevue, Wash. finished the first round with a two-under 70 to finish in a tie for sixth.
