Northwest Women’s Open

First held in 1996, the Northwest Women’s Open will be held again this year at Twin Lakes Golf & Country Club. The 36-hole stroke-play tournament is open to women professional golfers, as well as women amateur players with a Handicap Index of 9.4 or less.

Past champions include LPGA Tour player Cindy Rarick (who now owns a winery in Leavenworth, Wash.); and Molly Cooper, who is now the director of tournaments at the Pacific Northwest Section PGA. The defending champion is Jennifer Greggain, the LPGA director of instruction at the Chilliwack (B.C.) Golf Academy. Greggain also won in 2010.
