PNGA Announces Schedule for 2015 Championship Season
Federal Way, Wash. – The Pacific Northwest Golf Association (PNGA) has announced the schedule for the 2015 championship season, and will return all of its traditional championships to a selection of the Northwest’s top venues.
Entries for the 2015 season will be available beginning Monday, March 2. PNGA members can register for championships online on the 2015 Championship Schedule page or download an entry form from the PNGA website to fill out and mail to the PNGA office.
The region’s amateur “Western Swing,” which is made up of the Sahalee Players Championship followed by the Pacific Northwest Men’s Amateur, returns again for the 16th year with both events taking place in a two-week stretch in early July.
The 114th Pacific Northwest Men’s Amateur will head to Central Oregon this year and will be played at Sunriver Resort’s Woodlands and Meadows courses July 7-12.
The 114th Pacific Northwest Women’s Amateur and the 14th Pacific Northwest Women’s Mid-Amateur will be held at BanBury Golf Course in Eagle, Idaho on July 7-11.
The Pacific Northwest Men’s Master-40 will be shortened by one day beginning in 2015. Stroke-play qualifying will now be played over just 18 holes, rather than the previous 36, with all players still qualifying for match play.
The invitational PNGA Cup comes to Portland’s Columbia Edgewater Country Club in 2015. The annual team event pits the region’s finest men and women amateur golfers from the Washington State Golf Association, Idaho Golf Association, Oregon Golf Association, and British Columbia Golf against each other in a Ryder Cup-style competition with four-ball, foursome, and singles formats.
