PNGA Player of the Year Nick Taylor competes in Olympics
Two-time PNGA Men’s Player of the Year (2008, 2009) Nick Taylor of Abbotsford, B.C., had been selected to play for Canada in the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. The former University of Washington star and previously the No. 1-ranked amateur in the world (as well as now a winner on the PGA TOUR) finished his Olympics with a two-under 69 that left him in a tie for 30th in Paris.
Taylor completed the 72-hole event at four-under par. “The honor of a lifetime to represent Canada as an Olympian and one of the greatest experiences of my career,” Taylor said afterward. “The atmosphere at Le Golf National was electric and a great test. Wish the golf could have been a little better, but I enjoyed every moment, and my game feels primed to go.”
Always a golden moment, no matter what.
