PNGA Senior and Super Senior Women’s Amateur championships being held at Squamish Valley

Squamish, B.C. – The 38th Pacific Northwest Senior Women’s and 13th Pacific Northwest Super Senior Women’s Amateur championships are being held this week, September 2-4, at Squamish Valley Golf Club in Squamish, B.C.
This year marks the first time Squamish Valley will host either championship.
Championship Links:
Both championships will consist of 54 holes of gross stroke play, with a hole-by-hole playoff to determine each respective champion if necessary.
Senior players to watch:
- Shelly Stouffer of Nanoose Bay, BC – Won 2022, 2023 PNGA Senior Women’s Championship, PNGA Hall-of-Famer. Also won the previous six BC Women’s Senior Amateur titles.
- Rosie Cook of Redmond, Ore. – Won 2024 PNGA Senior Women’s Championship, returning to defend her title. Also won in 2021.
- Kim Shek of Bellevue, Wash. – Won 2023 and 2024 Washington Senior Women’s Amateur Championships.
Super Senior players to watch:
- Penny Gibbons of Vancouver, Wash. – Won 2024 PNGA Super Senior Women’s title, returning to defend.
- Marcia Fisher of Molalla, Ore. – Won 2021 and 2022 PNGA Super Senior Women’s titles; PNGA Hall of Famer.
These championships are two of 11 major, regional, amateur championships for men, women, juniors and senior conducted annually by the PNGA throughout the Northwest.
