PNGA Senior & Super Senior Women’s Amateur and Women’s Mid-Amateur Championships underway from The Home Course

DuPont, Wash. – The 37th Pacific Northwest Senior Women’s, 12th Super Senior Women’s and 22nd Women’s Mid-Amateur Championships are being held September 16-18 at The Home Course in DuPont, Wash.

The championships feature many of the top senior, super senior and women’s mid-amateur golfers from around the Pacific Northwest.

Notable players in the Senior Women’s Amateur:

  • Rosie Cook (Redmond, Ore.) – 2021 PNGA Senior Women’s Amateur champion; finished third in last year’s championship
  • Kim Shek (Bellevue, Wash.) – 2024 Washington Senior Women’s Amateur champion; two-time WA Golf Senior Women’s Player of the Year.
  • Sheryl Scott (Boise, Idaho) – 2024 Idaho Senior Women’s Match Play champion; three-time PNGA Lamey Cup team member for the Idaho Golf Association.

Notable players in the Super Senior Women’s Amateur:

  • Karen Madison (Spokane Valley, Wash.) – 2015 and 2024 PNGA Super Senior Women’s Amateur champion.
  • Sunny Sue Kim (Bellevue, Wash.) – 2022 Washington Super Senior Women’s Amateur champion.

Notable players in the Women’s Mid-Amateur:

  • Aram Choi (Surrey, B.C.) – 2024 British Columbia Women’s Mid-Amateur champion.
  • Sarah Lawrence (Snohomish, Wash.) – 2023 WA Golf Women’s Mid-Amateur Player of the Year.

The PNGA Senior, Super Senior and Women’s Mid-Amateur Championships are three of 11 major, regional amateur championships for men, women, juniors, and seniors conducted annually by the PNGA throughout the Northwest.

Entries for Senior and Super Senior championships are open to female amateur golfers who are members of a PNGA Member Association with an up-to-date USGA Handicap Index or Golf Canada Handicap Factor not exceeding 12.4. Players in the Senior Championship must be fifty or older, while players in the Super Senior Championship must be sixty-five or older.

Entries for the Women’s Mid-Amateur are open to female are open to female amateur golfers who are 25 or older and are members of a PNGA Member Association with an up-to-date USGA Handicap Index or Golf Canada Handicap Factor not exceeding 12.4.
