Rounds 4 Research auction supports turfgrass improvements

The 2025 Rounds 4 Research auction is happening April 21-27. It is an online auction in which golfers can bid on courses from all around the country, including courses right here in the Pacific Northwest. Most courses are those that would be difficult, if not impossible, for many golfers to have access to otherwise.

Rounds 4 Research allows GCSAA chapters and turfgrass foundations to participate as fundraising partners with the vast majority of proceeds going back to those organizations – such as the GCSAA chapters in Washington and Oregon. In this way, these organizations can direct the proceeds to specific projects that will have the most significant impact in their local areas.

The Rounds 4 Research program is addressing a critical shortage of funding for ongoing, university-based agronomic research, education, advocacy programs and course operations. For golfers, it’s a chance to provide for the ongoing research to make golf course turfgrass more playable and sustainable – as well as get an opportunity to play on courses that they’ve always dreamed of playing, or simply get a bargain at their favorite courses.
