“I’ll go with Tapps Island. I like how you can just show up and play. Like the water holes and how they have two pin placements on every green if you want to play 18. Outstanding views of Mt. Rainier. In some ways you feel like you’re at a resort, yet you’re only 45 minutes from downtown Seattle. Best of all, casual atmosphere.” – Jim Moore (ESPN Radio Host)

“Probably my favorite is Lake Tapps. This is a perfect example of a ‘heads-up’ golf course, as a on a clear day the entire time is being spent looking at the views of Mt. Rainier or the lake. I have many good memories of our (Peninsula High School) golf team playing here. My favorite was one of our varsity players hitting two shots OB on a par-3 and then making a very nice ‘5’ with his third shot in the hole that I witnessed – great coaching.” – Larry Gilhulhy (USGA Agronomist, West Region)
