2018 PNGA Women’s Mid-Amateur Championship

July 9-13, 2018
Palouse Ridge Golf Club | Pullman, WA


Lodging: Special group lodging rates are available HERE. Reservations must be made online. Cutoff date is June 8, 2018.


Format: The Championship will be conducted in two stages:

  • Stroke Play – All players must complete the 36-hole stroke play qualifying. Flights and seeds will be determined by 36-hole qualifying scores. In the event of a tie for the Qualifying Medalist, duplicate medals will be awarded and seeding will be determined randomly. In the event of a tie for the final spot(s) in the Championship Flight (16 players), a sudden-death playoff will commence to determine the qualfiier(s). Ties, other than for final spot(s) in the Championship Flight, will be determined randomly.*All players qualify for match play
  • Match Play – The General Numerical Draw will be in effect. Single elimination match play with an 18-hole Championship Final Match. Championship Flight of 16 will play one 18-hole match on Wednesday, two 18-hole matches (if you continue to win) on Thursday, and an 18-hole Championship Final Match on Friday. Remaining flights of 8 will play one 18-hole match each day.

Age Limit: Entrants must be 25 years of age or older by July 9, 2018.

Handicap Limit: Entrants must have a USGA Handicap Index or Golf Canada Handicap Factor of 16.4 or less.

Field Limit: 96* (Includes Women’s Amateur). In each Championship, the field will be comprised of the lowest 48 USGA Handicap Indexes or Golf Canada Handicap Factors at the close of entry, in addition to exemptions and Presidential Invitees (Amateur Championship only) to fill the field of 96. Note: The PNGA reserves the right to modify the field limits in either championship to attain a total field size of 96.

Entry Fee: $200.00 (U.S. Funds)

Carts: Power carts are permitted in the Mid-Amateur. Fees can be paid directly to the golf shop.

Entry Deadline: June 24, 2018 at 11:59 p.m. (PDT)

Entry Includes: Guaranteed at least three rounds of championship play (2 stroke play & 1 match play), one hosted practice round, warm up range balls each day, tee prize, hosted lunch following round two, and Kusak crystal for top-finishers.

**Entrants must be members in good standing of a PNGA member club.

Exemptions:

  • Champion earns an exemption into the 2019-2023 PNGA Women’s Mid-Amateur Championship
