Former PNGA Player of the Year Adam Svensson secures PGA TOUR card



Adam Svensson of Surrey, B.C. earned a PGA TOUR card for the 2018-19 season by finishing inside the top 25 on the Web.com Tour regular season money list.

The 24-year-old finished 14th on the season-long money list after an impressive season that included four top-10 finishes and a victory at the Bahamas Great Abaco Classic in January.

Svensson was named the PNGA Men’s Player of the Year in 2014. He also was named the PNGA Junior Boys’ Player of the year in 2010 and 2012. He had won the BC Amateur in 2010, while only 16 years old.

Also securing a PGA TOUR card is Alex Prugh of Spokane, Wash. who last played on the tour in 2016.

Prugh, a star amateur, won the 2001 PNGA Junior Boys’ Amateur, 2004 WSGA Men’s Amateur Championship, the 2005 Pacific Coast Amateur, and played on the University of Washington men’s golf team garnering two All Pac-10 Team selections (2005-06) before graduating in 2007.

His older brother Corey played for the Huskies from 2000-04, and his father Steve is the PGA Professional at Spokane’s Manito Golf & Country Club who was inducted into the Pacific Northwest Section PGA Hall of Fame in 2015.
