31st Pacific Northwest Women’s Senior Team Championship Being Held at Sunriver Resort

Sunriver Resort in Central Oregon is hosting the 31st Pacific Northwest Women’s Senior Team Championship on Sept. 16-18. The championship is conducted by the Pacific Northwest Golf Association (PNGA).

Headlining the field this year is the duo of Sharon Johnston of University Place, Wash. and Pat Harrop-Schumacher of Sequim, Wash., who three times have won this team championship, in 1995, 1996 and 2001.

Players will be coming from all parts of the region – Oregon, Washington, Idaho, California, British Columbia and Alberta.

The championship will consist of 54 holes of stroke play, with two-person teams competing in gross and net divisions. Play will be contested on two courses at Sunriver Resort, one round on the Woodlands Course and two rounds on the Meadows Course, using a different format on each day – Four-Ball, Chapman, and Four-Ball. Entrants into this championship must be 50 years of age or older by September 16, 2013.
