Adam McCormick selected as new IGA Executive Director
The Idaho Golf Association has selected Adam McCormick as its new Executive Director. Adam comes to Idaho from the Tennessee Golf Association (TGA) where he has been the Director of Men’s Competitions.
“I would like to thank the IGA Board of Directors for believing in my vision and selecting me as the next Executive Director of the Idaho Golf Association. I look forward to increasing the IGA brand, enhancing the IGA championship experience, and strengthening the relationships of the IGA with players, professionals, and allied organizations. My wife and I are truly excited to begin this next chapter of our lives in Idaho.”
A native of North Carolina, Adam graduated from the University of Alabama with a degree in advertising. Prior to his time at the Tennessee Golf Association, Adam worked for the Kansas City Golf Association as Competitions and Programs Manager. He also served as a P.J. Boatwright intern at the Kansas City Golf Association.
“Adam was a pleasure to work with,” said TGA Executive Director, Chad Anderson. “His professionalism, attention to detail, and work ethic make him a valuable asset to any association. I am confident he will do great things in Idaho! He will be missed here at the TGA but we are fully supportive of the opportunity he has at hand.”
“I want to thank all of the great people we have in the golfing community in Tennessee,” McCormick said. “I would like to thank the staff of the TGA, specifically Matt Vanderpool and Chad Anderson who have acted as Executive Director during my time here, as well has the entire Golf House Tennessee family.”
Adam will begin his duties at the IGA on January 22, 2018.
