Marie Hasegawa joins PNGA Staff

Get to know a little bit about Marie:

Give us some background on yourself

I grew up in the West Seattle area with my parents and six siblings. I am married to my awesome husband, Dean – we have been together for 34 years. It is just the two of us and since we both enjoy golf, it is a great way to spend time together.

Family means the world to us and although we don’t have children, we have a combined total of 15 nieces and nephews, not counting their spouses or their children. Christmas is very expensive (lol).

How did you first find out about the golf association and/or what drew you to the position?

My husband belongs to the men’s club at The Home Course and saw an advertisement for open positions. I just got laid off and he encouraged me to apply!

What is your favorite part about living in the Pacific Northwest?

I love, love, love our choices in seafood! It’s fun to go catch your own dinner or when family and friends share theirs.

Who would be the other three golfers in your dream foursome?

Tiger Woods, Justin Thomas and Rickie Fowler.
