PNGA Senior & Super Senior Men’s Amateur Championships being held at Canterwood Golf & Country Club

Gig Harbor, Wash. – The 58th Pacific Northwest Senior Men’s and 13th Super Senior Men’s Amateur Championships are being held September 12-14 at Canterwood Golf & Country Club in Gig Harbor, Wash.

The three-day 54-hole stroke-play competitions begin on Tuesday, September 12th at 8:00am. The championships feature a full field of the top Senior and Super Senior Men’s Amateur golfers from around the Pacific Northwest.

Notable players in the Senior Men’s Amateur:

  • Erik Hanson (Kirkland, Wash.) – 2022 PNGA Senior Men’s Amateur champion; Won the 2022 Washington Senior Men’s Amateur and was named the 2022 WA Golf Senior Men’s Player of the Year.
  • Tom Brandes (Bellevue, Wash.) – PNGA Hall-of-Famer; six-time PNGA Senior Men’s Amateur champion.

The PNGA Senior and Super Senior Men’s Amateur Championships are two of 11 major, regional amateur championships for men, women, juniors, and seniors conducted annually by the PNGA throughout the Northwest.

Entries for both championships are open to male amateur golfers who are members of a PNGA Member Association with an up-to-date USGA Handicap Index or Golf Canada Handicap Factor not exceeding 8.4. Players in the Senior Championship must be fifty-five or older, while players in the Super Senior Championship must be sixty-five or older.
