Osprey Meadows originally opened in 2006 but closed nine years later. New ownership from Tamarack Resort assumed control in 2021 and began a substantial renovation that finished in 2024. Osprey Meadows is an original design of Robert Trent Jones II, and it was Jones who also completed the renovation. Jones has been involved with the design of some 300 golf courses around the world, among them Chambers Bay in University Place, Wash., the site of the 2015 U.S. Open.
“We couldn’t be more thrilled to showcase what we believe is one of the best golf courses in Idaho,” said Chris Peterson, Tamarack’s PGA director of golf, earlier this year. “Between the sweeping lake views, open meadows, and mountain backdrops, there are few more beautiful places to experience golf.”
These championships are two of 11 major, regional, amateur championships for men, women, juniors and seniors conducted annually by the PNGA throughout the Northwest.
