PNGA Senior and Super Senior Women’s Amateur Championships to be held at Kalispel
Spokane, Wash. – The 33rd Pacific Northwest Senior Women’s Amateur and 8th Super Senior Women’s Amateur Championships will be held concurrently Sept 30-Oct 1 at Kalispel Golf and Country Club in Spokane, Wash.
Each championship consists of 36 holes of stroke play, and are being conducted by the Pacific Northwest Golf Association (PNGA).

Last year’s Senior Women’s Amateur Championship saw PNGA Hall of Famer Jackie Little of Procter, B.C. win her third title; while Holly Horwood of Vancouver, B.C. won her second title in a row in the Super Senior Women’s Amateur.
In the Senior Women’s field, players to watch for are PNGA Hall of Famers Marcia Fisher of Molalla, Ore. and Alison Murdoch of Victoria, B.C., with Murdoch having won this championship twice previously (2005, 2011); Leilani Norman of Eugene, Ore., who won this title in 2015; and Anita Wicks of Roseburg, Ore., who has twice won this championship (2016, 2017) and was named the 2016 PNGA Senior Women’s Player of the Year.
Horwood, who was inducted into the Golf Hall of Fame of BC in 2017, is in the Super Senior field again this year, trying for a three-peat. Another player to watch for in the Super Senior is Karen Madison of Spokane Valley, Wash., who won this title in 2015.
To be eligible, competitors in the Senior Women’s Amateur must be 50 years of age or older by the first day of competition, while Super Senior competitors must be 65 years of age or older.

It is a 501c3 charitable, international, amateur golf association dedicated to preserving the true spirit of golf by supporting its allied associations, conducting quality championships, and promoting activities beneficial to golfers in the Pacific Northwest.
